Time passes quickly over the subjects in a painting. The very light illuminating the scene passes overhead, and the objects themselves fade.
The beauty and richness of light across a subject is something I ever strive to capture. The luminous colours, the depth of tone, light’s unique and transient interaction between reflections, transparencies and textures.
It is my privilege to capture a particular passing of light in the moment I see it, and then to create something more lasting, inspired by the beauty of the fleeting scene once gazed upon.
